Nikita A. Crook

Nikita is a respected and experienced therapist working in full time private practice in West Vancouver over the past two decades. Born and raised in southern Ontario, Nikita knew from an early age that she wished to help others, understand the inner world of individuals and inspire others to make the world a better place. She completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Toronto and then worked in the field of women and child advocacy, communications, conflict mediation and research. She then embarked on her clinical training at the Ontario Institute for Studies and Education (OISE) and the Toronto Child Psychotherapy Program (TCPP), at that time housed at the Clark Institute for Psychiatry (now CAMH) and at The C.M. Hincks Treatment Centre (now The Hincks-Dellcrest Centre). In 1993, she relocated to British Columbia’s North Shore and in 1995 co-founded the Western Canada Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy Association (WCPPA), an important stepping stone for the development of the Western Branch of the Canadian Psychoanalytic Society). Outside of her work life, Nikita is busy raising her family, writing, travelling and volunteering in the community.
